17-year-old Calvino Inman, has been suffering from this mysterious condition for two years even after consulting doctors -- because no one can figure out what's wrong with him.
Medical professionals remain baffled as to why Calvino sheds the frightening red tears, sometimes for up to an hour.
Blood also comes out of the 17-year-old's nose.
"This poor boy from Knoxville, Tennessee, US is one of only a handful of people who suffer from this strange phenomenon worldwide.
"The teenager reported that the bleeding happens all the time, even when he's in school.
"He feels a burning sensation when the blood tears come.
"He also said sadly that some people around him think he's possessed.
"I feel so sorry for the boy and his parents.
"They must be pretty desperate for a solution.
"Calvino is apparently undergoing tests to investigate whether his condition is being brought on by a tumour, tear duct problems, or a genetic defect
"I hope he gets to lead a normal life soon."
